Guía de Configuración WebDocuments

La integración con el servicio online de LibreOffice permite desplegar IceWarp WebDocuments en diferentes
formas, pero recomendamos ejecutarla en un servidor diferente o cuando menos en una máquina virtual separada.

Con este método, ejecutará WebDocuments en una máquina virtual preconfigurada por nosotros. Si prefiere ejecutar WebDocuments en su propia máquina virtual, revise también la opción de APT Repository (VM con Debian8 es requerido).

Este método es el mas sencillo para configurar WebDocuments en Windows. Con este método, podrá ejecutar WebDocuments en una máquina virtual preconfigurada por IceWarp. Si prefiere ejecutar WebDocuments en su propia máquina virtual, revise también la opción de APT repository (VM con Debian8 es requerido)

Este método parece ser el mas sencillo para configurar WebDocuments con Debian8 64bit. Puede instalar WebDocuments en el mismo servidor que IceWarp o utilizar un servidor diferente para WebDocuments solamente. Puede utilizar también la opción Docker (y tener WebDocuments en el mismo servidor que IceWarp) o elegir la opción de una VM preconfigurada (WebDocuments no estará en el mismo servidor que IceWarp).

ESXi VPS

Importe VM

  • Descargue el archivo zip de imagen y extraigalo (VM no correrá la carpeta extraida)

  • Abra el cliente vSphere (u otro manejador como Workstation) y despliegue la planilla OVF
  • Abra el archivo de planilla OVF y presione "next"
  • Continúe a los detalles de la planilla, presione "next"
  • Seleccione el nombre (la carpeta será predeterminada), presione "next"
  • Seleccione el tipo de disco - recomendamos la opción por defecto (lazy zeroed). Eager Zeroed puede resultar en una importación mas lenta. Puede encontrar mas información en las siguientes ligas https://communities.vmware.com/message/2199576
  • Revise la configuración y que esté marcado NPower despues del despliegue. Presione "finish"
  • Cierre una vez que el despligue haya finalizado
  • Administre el arranque automático de la máquina virtual por medio de VMware Workstation o la interfaz web de vSphere - botón derecho en hypervisor en la lista del panel izquierdo y seleccione "Manage AutoStart VMs..."
  • Marque la casilla en la izquierda de la VM importada en el diálogo de configurar arranque automático. Recuerde presionar "OK" para aplicar los cambios.

There is no need to change anything in the image if DHCP is used. Just configure your DHCP server to assign the same IP address each time (IP reservation according to MAC)

Inicie la Máquina Virtual

Inicie (si no se inició durante la importación) la máquina virtual seleccionando iniciar desde el VM Power Menu o desde su consola.

Configure IceWarp server

  • Obtain IP address assigned to installed machine. It should be visible on terminal (or SSH login screen) under the IceWarp logo. Open IceWarp Administration Console and insert IP address of iwds host into "WebDocuments server connection" input located at GroupWare -> WebClient -> WebDocuments tab
  • Enable "WebDocuments Service"
  • Check that the configuration is correct by clicking "Test Connection" button (image iwdoc-iwserver-setup.jpg). "Test Connection" check will also configure iwds service for interoperation with IceWarp Server.
  • Save configuration changes by clicking on Apply button

Review TeamChat URL settings located at System -> Smartdiscover tab. URL must be reachable from iwds host. Also, IceWarp Server must be able to send out tcp packets to destination ports 8081, 80 or 443 on iwds host.

  • Descargue el archivo de imagen .zip y extraigalo (la VM correrá desde la carpeta extraida)
  • Abra el Hyper-V Manager (localizado en Administrative Tools o Server Manager)
  • Seleccione la opción "Import Virtual Machine..." localizada en el panel de acciones (a la izquierda)
  • Vaya a la ubicación donde extrajo la imagen de VM y seleccione la carpeta raíz que contiene los archivos de la VM
  • Elija las opciones de importar, cualquiera de las dos opciones es correcta, pero recomendamos "Copy the virtual machine (create unique ID)". Presione "Import"

Arranque la Máquina Virtual

Al importar se agregó una nueva máquina virtual a lista de máquinas. Puede iniciar dando click derecho en la máquina o dando click izquierdo en el botón "Start" del pánel de acciones. El progreso de arranque se despliega en la columna de estado en Hyper-V Manager.

Doble click en la lista de máquinas desplegará la consola VNC, la máquina virtual arrancada desplegará el logo de IceWarp junto con la dirección IP.

Configure IceWarp Server

Open terminal emulator note. Commands need to be run under 'root' account. Add apt sources of icewarp and nodejs repository:

Check if your Debian is able to install 'contrib' and 'non-free'packages.

- you should find this line in /etc/apt/source.list file

Update apt database on your machine


It is required to have added system locale en_US.UTF-8, to add en_US.UTF-8 execute dpkg-reconfigure locales
and check the checkbox for this locale

Install icewarp-webdocuments package

apt-get install icewarp-webdocuments

This package will install all necessary dependencies, so after approximately twenty minutes you will have configured and running backend for your web documents. The last line of script output is actual IP address of iwds host which is needed in next step, you can however obtain IP address in any common way.

Configure IceWarp server

  • Obtain IP address assigned to installed machine. It should be visible on terminal (or SSH login screen) under the IceWarp logo. Open IceWarp Administration Console and insert IP address of iwds host into "WebDocuments server connection" input located at GroupWare -> WebClient -> WebDocuments tab
  • Enable "WebDocuments Service"
  • Check that the configuration is correct by clicking "Test Connection" button (image iwdoc-iwserver-setup.jpg). "Test Connection" check will also configure iwds service for interoperation with IceWarp Server.
  • Save configuration changes by clicking on Apply button

Install IW + WebDoc on the same Debian server

1. Check if your Debian is able to install 'contrib' and 'non-free'packages:.
- you should find this line in /etc/apt/sources.list file

- where [debian-version] is the version of currently installed release. e.g. in case of Debian Jessie, the source should look like:

2. Add apt sources of IceWarp and nodejs repository:

4. It is required to have added system locale en_US.UTF-8
dpkg-reconfigure locales
and check en_US.UTF-8 from the list of locales 5. Update apt database on your machine
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
6. Stop all icewarp services (at least control during installation)
./icewarpd.sh --stop
7. Add 2nd interface with IP for nginx to your current network interface:
add following to /etc/network/interfaces (replace IP and netmask if needed)
auto eth0:1
iface eth0:1 inet static
  address 10.10.1.1
  netmask 255.255.255.0
to activate new interface run with sudo in terminal
ifup eth0:1
8. Install webdocuments
apt-get install icewarp-webdocuments

9. Edit configuration file for nginx to run on added IP (comment IPV6 in case you use it for another service)

10. Restart nginx

11. Restart supervisor
service supervisor restart

12. Bind icewarp services to desired IP
/opt/icewarp/tool.sh set system c_system_services_bindipaddress 192.168.1.1
...replace 192.168.1.1 with your IP
13. Start IW services
./icewarpd.sh --start
14. Configure IceWarp server
  • URL must be reachable from iwds host – proper A DNS record or record in /etc/hosts is nescessary.
  • IceWarp Server must be able to send out tcp packets to destination ports 8081, 80 or 443 on iwds host.
  • Open IceWarp Administration Console and insert IP address of iwds host (10.10.1.1 in our example) into "WebDocuments server connection" input located at GroupWare -> WebClient -> WebDocuments tab
  • Enable "WebDocuments Service"
  • Check that the configuration is correct by clicking "Test Connection" button. "Test Connection" check will also configure iwds service for interoperation with IceWarp Server.
  • Save configuration changes by clicking on Apply button
