Special Account Types

IceWarp supports multiple account types. In fact, while Moderated list servers, public accounts and groups are typically available only in flagship mail server products, it is a standard feature in IceWarp. The platform stores data either in a caching file-system or in a database, allowing the university to host tens of thousands of accounts per server.

Archiving

In compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, IceWarp archives messages server-side, with rotation and backup. University administrators can, at their discretion, opt to automatically delete them after a specified number of days, or otherwise keep them indefinitely.


IceWarp saves these messages as files in a tree folder structure, which makes restoration very easy. You will only need to extract the content of the archives to a selected IMAP folder where they are immediately available for audit.
